Global Action Network is an innovative online network based in the United States and designed to connect, educate, and empower young people working in the global population and reproductive health field. The network provides e-mentoring, program building tools, and opportunities for training.

Interagency Gender Working Group (IGWG)

Established in 1997, the IGWG is a network of NGOs including the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), its cooperating agencies (CAs), and the Center for Population, Health and Nutrition (PHN) of USAID. The IGWG promotes gender equity within PHN programs to improve reproductive health and HIV/AIDS outcomes and foster sustainable development. IGWG's five task forces raise awareness and commitment to synergies between gender equity and reproductive health outcomes, collect empirical data on gender and reproductive health, advance knowledge through the development and dissemination of operational tools for the integration of gender approaches into PHN programming, and advance best practices through technical assistance to the field.

Isis International - Manila

Isis is a feminist organization dedicated to serving womens information and communication needs by documenting ideas and visions, creating communication channels, collecting and moving information, and networking and building links. They focus on those advancing womens rights, leadership, and empowerment in Asia and the Pacific. With connections in more than 150 countries, they also keep up with changing trends and analyses concerning women worldwide. The site features their publications, links to other networks, and an information center.

Kabissa

Kabissa is dedicated to strengthening the capacity of African non-profit organizations to use the full potential of the Internet in the interest of building civil society and democracy in Africa. They operate on the principles of inclusiveness and collaboration, and invite all organizations and initiatives that share their goals to join as members and partners.

Partners in Population and Development

Partners is an inter-governmental alliance of 16 developing countries, created for the specific purpose of promoting and improving the transfer of knowledge, expertise, and skills in population and reproductive health through South-to-South collaboration. The members of Partners believe that by sharing their expertise, they can transform reproductive health goals outlined in the ICPD Program of Action into reality. Members are Bangladesh, China, Colombia, Egypt, The Gambia, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Mali, Mexico, Morocco, Pakistan, Thailand, Tunisia, Uganda, and Zimbabwe. The Partners Secretariat, based in Dhaka, Bangladesh, provides a central point for networking among the members and for identifying opportunities for South-to-South exchanges.

Sawnet

Sawnet (South Asian Women's NETwork) is a forum for those interested in South Asian women's issues. Sawnet is a volunteer effort, and exists entirely in the electronic medium. The mailing list now reaches about 700 women in four continents. The site publishes articles by or for developing country women on health, domestic violence, and legal issues.

Women Connect! is a participatory development project working to strengthen the communication, technology, and advocacy skills of women's rights organizations around the world. The current focus is on women's health issues in Africa. It is an initiative of the Pacific Institute for Womens Health (www.piwh.org).
