Sponsored by the Bangladesh Center for Communication Programs, this workshop will share the experience and lessons learned from successful and award-winning adolescent reproductive health programs in Bangladesh. Topics include the communication planning process, behavior change, audience analysis, overview of the "Know Yourself" package, concepts and methods for developing life skills, field observation, building an enabling environment for adolescent reproductive health, developing an adolescent reproductive health program, and monitoring and evaluation.

International Policy Conference on the African Child: Violence Against Girls in Africa

This conference, organized by the African Child Policy Forum, is aimed at providing a platform for communication amongst like-minded organizations to work together on issues of violence against children, especially girls. Objectives include: to initiate an Africa-wide movement against all forms of violence against girls in Africa; to ensure that African views and positions, especially regarding girls, are reflected in actions and resolutions taken by the African Union and the UN in respect to violence against children; to initiate dialogue and formulate actions to be taken by various stakeholders, particularly governments, to address the issue of violence against girls in Africa; and to contribute towards a declaration which will be submitted to the UN General Assembly.
