Shaping Strategies to Introduce HPV Vaccines: Formative Research Results from India, Peru, Uganda, and Vietnam
The formative research results presented in these four PATH reports document how country-specific beliefs, health systems, and policy contexts can influence plans for HPV vaccination. The research was conducted as part of PATH's HPV Vaccines: Evidence for Impact project and helped guide development of vaccine delivery strategies, communications strategies, and advocacy strategies in India, Peru, Uganda, and Vietnam. These strategies have been implemented and evaluated through a demonstration project in each country—project reports are now becoming available. The findings from the demonstration projects will serve as an evidence base for governments deciding when and how to incorporate HPV vaccination into national health services, ideally as part of a comprehensive cervical cancer prevention program.
